Diarrhea is a symptom experienced by nearly everyone, generally considered an increase in the volume, fluidity, and/or frequency of stools. Chronic diarrhea may affect ~5% people industrialized countries, and acute or chronic infectious remains important cause morbidity developing countries. The Crassulaceae family plants includes Bryophyllum pinnatum (Lam.) Oken plant, which well renowned for its therapeutic properties. main aim research to assess antidiarrheal property using Mgso4 induced diarrheal model isolate active compound. Both EAE EE exhibited consistent effects. Percentage Inhibition T1 (EE 200 mg/kg), T2 400 T3 (EAE mg/kg) T4 400mg/kg) groups was found 41.51%, 61.32%, 32.56% 52.78% respectively with standard Loperamide drug (at 3 mg/kg dose, p.o.). showed better outcomes because isolated flavonoid substance, 4, 5, 7-trihydroxy flavones as yellow pigment from ethanol-DCM, aid analysis UV, IR, NMR mass spectroscopy, characterized identified flavones, chemical formula C15H10O5 extract plant leaves. Finally, it can be concluded that flavonoids are responsible activity this used determine precise function herbal medicine contemporary society.
